News has been circulating all day that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will be running for president in 2020 after a campaign committee named “Run The Rock 2020” was created Sunday by a political consultant from West Virginia named Kenton Tilford.

This was all just speculation until CNN.com published an article after they landed an email interview with Kenton Tilford, who confirmed the former WWE wrestler may become “The People’s Champ” once again, only this time outside of the ring.

CNN:

Kenton Tilford: “I’ve been discussing (this committee) with friends for some time, but I ultimately decided to create the committee because America is incredibly divided,” Tilford told CNN in an email interview. “I know it’s almost a cliché at this point, but I think it’s tragic that our President (Donald Trump) has not made a serious effort to unite the country. With this level of vitriol and anger, I believe we desperately need a leader who can unite us and not just pander to a small base of supporters.”

Tilford then goes on to praise Dwayne for his positivity and his ability to entertain the masses. He believes someone like Dwayne Johnson (we can all agree there’s no one else in the world like Dwayne Johnson) could have an enormous impact and may be the key factor to bringing the country back together.

The Rock is loved all around the world and has insane charisma, intelligence, and compassion. He hasn’t commented on whether or not he will be running for president in 2020, but has mentioned it before in past interviews. CNN may have even picked up on this early on when they published an article titled “The Rock sounded like a polished veteran politician on ‘The Tonight Show'” on May 19th of this year.
