Niantic Shuts Down 3rd Party Pokémon Go Trackers

Buh-bye, Map
Buh-bye, Map

The latest Pokémon Go update might make some of you Pokemoners angry, as the broken tracking system that third-party developers used to create maps letting players know when monsters were near has been “fixed”.

PokéVision, Poké Radar, Find ‘Em All and all other trackers are essentially crippled after the latest update.  If you were using one of these you were already stepping on the verge of a permaban from Niantic, so it might be a blessing in disguise.

While this may anger some players, I’m sure some of the popular sites will find a workaround soon – a workaround that will soon be closed again by Niantic.  Essentially a giant game of ‘whack-a-mole’ until Niantic caves (not likely) or these companies stop trying.

My personal opinion is this is due to Niantic/Nintendo only wanting people to use the dedicated tracker that Chuck mentioned here.

Better amp up that supply, Nintendo!
